All-New Nissan Qashqai Arriving Early 2022

All-New Nissan QASHQAI arriving early 2022

Melbourne, Australia (July 19, 2021) – Following its highly-praised introduction in Europe, the all-new Nissan Qashqai will be launching in Australia in early 2022.

Although unmistakably Qashqai in its styling, the third generation is more toned, sharp and modern. In its details, the styling reflects Nissan’s global design language, notably the V-Motion grille and “floating roof”.

As with the two previous generations, the design for the all-new Nissan Qashqai was developed by Nissan’s European Design Studio in London and will be built at Nissan’s Sunderland factory.

Adam Paterson, Managing Director, Nissan Australia, said: “With the launch of the first generation Nissan Qashqai in 2006, Nissan pioneered the now incredibly popular C-SUV segment globally.  Nissan Australia introduced the first generation Qashqai, badged Dualis, in 2007 and the vehicle quickly became a best-seller in the Nissan range.

“Since that time, the Nissan Qashqai has become the second best-selling small SUV in Australia.  Customers have loved the practicality offered by a small SUV coupled with the striking good looks and convenience features.

“The all-new Qashqai broke cover globally in early 2021. Immediately after its reveal, we saw Australian customers eagerly awaiting its local introduction. I am thrilled to confirm that the all-new Nissan Qashqai will be launched in Australia in early 2022 – we can’t wait.”

Striking and assertive exterior

On the exterior, the Qashqai’s enhanced body stance is more purposeful, with prominent shoulder lines, an extended wheelbase and imposing alloy wheel designs.

The all-new Qashqai maintains its overall ‘just right’ size, keeping the Qashqai qualities that have made its predecessors so popular. However the third generation model features efficient packaging that gives it a more planted, resolute stance on the outside, but with intelligent ergonomic design in the cabin to increase roominess and a sense of spaciousness.

The wheelbase of the car has increased by +19mm with the overall length increasing +31mm. There’s a marginal increase in height (+30mm) and width has increased +29mm for improved presence on the road.

The front end of the all-new Qashqai sports an enlarged Nissan V-Motion grille. This is flanked by slim, full LED advanced matrix headlamps with boomerang signature daylight running lights.

The forward lighting on the all-new Qashqai has been enhanced from the previous model to feature a slimmer, sharper design thanks to the use of LED technology. On the rear lights, there’s also graduated ‘raindrop’ grain optics which create a 3D lighting effect and give a futuristic impression.

As customers appreciate being able to personalise their vehicles, the all-new Qashqai will be available in 8 body colours with five two-tone combinations, creating 13 variations to choose from. The black roof option is available with Ivory White, a striking new Magnetic Blue, an eye-catching Fuji Sunset Red and Ceramic Grey, while there is also a Ceramic Grey roof option paired with a Pearl Black body colour.

The panoramic glass roof, a popular feature on previous generation models, is retained and allows light to flood into the cabin, further enhancing the spacious and relaxing feel of the interior.

The all-new Nissan Qashqai will be launched in Australia in early 2022.
